Three seasons ago, the White Sox were a 93-win team with World Series aspirations. But through a series of injuries and overall decline, the club saw that win total decrease to just 61 victories in 2023. The team could be even worse this season.
With that winning percentage, the club is on pace for only 38 victories - which would set the MLB record for the fewest wins in a 162-campaign.
Any and everyone on the White Sox roster is on the trade block, with the most significant name being starting pitcher Garrett Crochet. The lefty is in the midst of a career year in his first year as a starter, drawing the attention of contending teams across the league.
Crochet has proven his worth, leading MLB with 12.0 strikeouts per nine innings and carrying a 3.49 ERA across 13 starts. His improved command is one of the keys to his success, as he walked 4.9 hitters per nine innings before this season versus just 1.9 BB/9 in 2024.
