As Bendix continues to overhaul Marlins roster, a youth movement is in full effect
Briefly

Peter Bendix, now in his second year as the Miami Marlins' president of baseball operations, has shifted focus from assessment to execution of a long-term vision. With a projected payroll as low as $70 million, the Marlins are prioritizing player development and talent acquisition over expensive free agent signings. Bendix emphasizes building a strong foundation of young players, having acquired ten new talents via trades. His strategy seeks to cultivate homegrown talent to establish a competitive team in the long run.
Year 1 was a lot about assessing the entire organization, the entire baseball operations department, from top to bottom - on field, off field, understanding what we have, what we don't have, what we need, and how to get to that point as quickly as we possibly can.
The strategy is building up a base of talent throughout our entire organization. We started doing that over the course of the year.
