2025 Atlanta Braves Prospect Reviews: Patrick Clohisy
"Clohisy went back to Rome and spent 92 games there, hitting .247/.338/.330 with 16 doubles, two triples, and three homers with 45 walks to 76 strikeouts over 405 plate appearances. He finally got promoted to Double-A and hit .270/.328/.384 with four doubles, a triple, and four homers with 11 walks to 29 strikeouts in 174 plate appearances. He combined to hit .254/.335/.346 with 79 steals on the season."
"Clohisy actually struck out 50 times in April and May, with just 55 over the next four months as he cut down on his strikeouts. His numbers throughout the season were pretty consistent until September, with the exception of just a .508 OPS in the month of June. The other four months he consistently put up OPS marks between .684 and and .761, before he scuffled to a .613 OPS over 13 September games."
Patrick Clohisy was drafted by the Braves in the 11th round of the 2024 MLB Draft out of Saint Louis after a collegiate career marked by a .345 average and .454 OBP. In 2024 he played 26 pro games between Augusta and Rome, then in 2025 returned to Rome for 92 games before reaching Double-A, combining for a .254/.335/.346 line with 79 stolen bases. He reduced strikeouts after a heavy April–May total and delivered mostly consistent monthly OPS marks aside from June and September. He is hitting in the Arizona Fall League and projects as a contact-and-speed fourth outfielder with potential to reach Atlanta late in 2026.
