McVay confirmed Monday that veteran cornerback Tre'Davious White and his representatives have been given permission to seek opportunities elsewhere. White's lack of form has prompted this decision.
‘The guy wants to be able to go compete,’ McVay said during a videoconference with reporters, acknowledging White's past success and current struggles in securing his role in the team.
McVay emphasized the need for White to have the opportunity to find 'a better situation that he deems appropriate for himself,' indicating the team’s respect for his professionalism.
The Rams are also considering adjustments to their inside linebacker position ahead of the trade deadline, particularly after placing starter Troy Reeder on injured reserve.
