Detectives began looking into Swan Spa in Thousand Oaks earlier this year after suspecting employees were selling sex services to customers. This led to the arrest of the owner, Amanda Xia, on multiple charges.
Sheriff's detectives identified multiple male individuals who were allegedly purchasing commercial sex at the four locations under investigation, illustrating the scale of the illicit activities associated with these establishments.
Amanda Xia, 44, who owned Swan Spa and three other similarly masqueraded businesses, faces serious charges such as pimping and money laundering, underscoring the illegal operations concealed as legitimate services.
The investigation revealed that not only Swan Spa but also Star Spa, Victoria Spa, and Four Seasons Spa were involved in the illicit trade, demonstrating a widespread issue across these establishments.
