Somni Just Became Los Angeles's First Three-Michelin-Starred Restaurant
Briefly

Somni, a Spanish tasting menu restaurant in West Hollywood led by chef Aitor Zabala, has earned the distinction of being Los Angeles's first three-Michelin-starred restaurant since the Michelin Guide began listing the city in 2008. Originally opened in 2018 and closed during the pandemic, it was revived by Zabala in November 2024. Following the announcement of its prestigious rating via a leaked video, Somni is celebrated for its ambitious 25-course menu and unique dining environment that reflects both its cultural heritage and the evolving culinary landscape of Los Angeles.
"Somni is our American dream - our opportunity to add to the legacy and culture of Los Angeles," he told Eater in 2018.
"After years of anticipation, Zabala debuted the current iteration of Somni in West Hollywood in November 2024. The restaurant is a fully realized version of the dream he had in 2018."
