Robbers targeted two men at Fashion Island mall, where one was shot at while the other lost his watch and wallet in a violent incident.
The two victims, friends in luxury vehicles, were confronted by three masked suspects, one of whom allegedly opened fire during the robbery attempt.
Newport Beach police report that the suspects drove away in a medium-sized sedan, and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
