Showers, cool temperatures linger in Southern California, but a warm-up is on the way
Briefly

Southern California is transitioning to a warming trend as unstable weather gives way to a high-pressure system. After a wet and chilly weekend where some areas recorded significant rainfall, warmer temperatures are incoming. By the end of the week, constituents can expect mid-80s to low-90s, significantly higher than the early week highs of mid-60s to low-70s. Rain totals were varied, with the Inland Empire seeing up to 2 inches in some areas, while the mountains even experienced some snowfall.
"If you're sick of the cold weather, you'll like this week," said Ryan Kittell, a National Weather Service meteorologist in Oxnard. "This week will definitely be transitioning."
"By the end of the week, we're actually looking at highs in the mid-80s to early 90s," he said. "Thursday through Sunday, it looks warm."
