Red flag warnings set to take effect throughout Southern California, beginning Monday
Briefly

The National Weather Service has issued red flag warnings for much of Southern California due to strong Santa Ana winds, which pose a significant fire risk.
"This is peak Santa Ana wind season and I would say that this is at least a moderate event," says Sebastian Westerink, a weather service meteorologist.
Winds could gust up to 80 mph, impacting fire behavior and increasing the threat of rapidly spreading wildfires in the region.
Residents in fire-prone areas should prepare for possible evacuations, as any fires that start might spread quickly, putting lives at risk.
