As explosive fires propelled by vigorous winds scorched through Southern California, tens of thousands of people are without power across six counties.
In addition to outages caused by downed power lines, some providers have purposely shut off power as a precaution against the dry, vicious winds that are propelling all four of the fires.
At least two people have died and more than 1,000 homes, businesses, and other structures have been destroyed in the fire, the LA Times reported.
Residents are urged to prepare an emergency supply kit, charge their mobile phones, and have flashlights available as critical wildfire conditions persist.
