"It is a safety issue for our women in the Fire Department - it's also a safety issue for those they're working to rescue in a split second," said Supervisor Janice Hahn.
"The fact that they have to hike up their pants or do something differently to make a very simple move, I think has been hindering. ... I want you to know that we five women on this board, we have your back, and we have your hips," said Supervisor Janice Hahn.
