"Some of the worst air quality was measured downwind of the Eaton fire, which razed much of Altadena and left downtown Los Angeles under a pall of hazardous air."
"Those small particles can get really deep down into your lungs and cause a wide variety of health impacts," said Scott Epstein. "Children, older adults, pregnant women, people that have preexisting heart or lung issues are really susceptible to the health impacts of smoke and really need to be extra careful."
