Authorities are investigating the connection between a gun registered to notorious former LAPD officer Christopher Dorner and recent robberies in Beverly Hills, including a $1 million watch theft.
Federal prosecutors reported that one suspect, Jesus Eduardo Padron Rojas, confessed to handling Dorner's gun before stashing it at the Airbnb rented by himself and accomplice Jamer Mauricio Sepulveda Salazar.
The suspicion surrounds the connection of the gun, found in a pillowcase at the Airbnb, to a crime tourism group involved in high-profile thefts in Beverly Hills.
The accused, Sepulveda and Padron, are linked to a series of robberies, demonstrating a methodical approach to surveillance and execution of thefts on luxury targets.
