Eaton fire grows to nearly 14,000 acres, with firefighters getting some containment

As of Friday, Jan. 10, the Eaton Fire has consumed 13,956 acres, causing destruction to over 7,000 structures, marking a significant challenge for firefighting crews.

With decreased winds aiding efforts, crews achieved 3% containment, the first indication of control over the prevalent blaze, which had been escalating rapidly prior.
