"The parade begins at Temple Street and Broadway. After going west on Temple, the route turns south on Grand Avenue, west on 7th Street and north on Figueroa Street. It ends at 5th Street. Officials encouraged fans to gather along Grand Avenue, the longest stretch of the route. After the parade there will be a celebration at Dodger Stadium at approximately 12:15. Fans need a ticket for that event."
Hundreds with hearings scheduled in downtown Los Angeles courthouses will have matters continued or rescheduled because buildings will close Monday for a Dodgers World Series victory parade. City officials encouraged downtown businesses to let employees work from home or adjust schedules to avoid heavy traffic as fans head to the 11 a.m. parade. Los Angeles Unified schools will open as usual, but parents should allow extra travel time. Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration and the county Hall of Records will be closed. The parade route runs Temple to Broadway, then Grand Avenue, 7th Street and Figueroa, ending at 5th. A ticketed celebration at Dodger Stadium follows. Extra public transit service will run and some freeway exits will be blocked.
