Cooler weather hampers spread of Bridge fire, now at more than 51,000 acres

As of Thursday evening, Sept. 12, the Bridge fire has burned 51,792 acres and is at zero percent containment, with authorities investigating the cause.
Firefighters are actively defending structures in Pinon Hills and Mt. Baldy, while favorable weather conditions have decreased the intensity of the fire overnight.
Approximately 20 homes in Mt. Baldy, 13 homes in Wrightwood, and six cabins in the wilderness area have been destroyed due to the fire.
Firefighters are using aircraft to monitor the northwest section of the Bridge fire, which is located in rugged terrain and remains active.
