California's Park Fire expected to 'make very active runs' on Friday
Briefly

"We're expecting it to step up and make very active runs," Dan Collins, a Cal Fire spokesperson, told SFGATE on Friday morning. "This is a major incident."
The Park Fire's rapid expansion, surpassing the size of the disastrous Camp Fire, has led to significant structure destruction and threats, with containment dropping to zero.
Officials suspect arson as the cause of the fire, with a man arrested for allegedly starting it. Evacuations are ongoing as the fire continues to spread.
While the fire has spread northward due to southerly winds, downtown Chico is currently not directly threatened, although concerns about wind direction remain.
