"As an LA native I've felt more earthquakes this year than I've felt in my entire life," read another post.
"I thought my house got punched.. that was the weirdest earthquake ever. I hate LA," wrote another person.
Magnitude measures the energy released at the source of the earthquake, the U.S. Geological Survey says. It replaces the old Richter scale.
