Christian, known as the 'Danish Paddy', was mourned by fellow bikers and family after a tragic motorcycle accident in Dublin. His coffin was proudly draped with the Devils Disciples MC flag, symbolizing his commitment to the club. A procession of motorbikes honored him as his family placed personal items, including his helmet and Danish clogs, at the altar during the service. Fr Tom Little highlighted Christian's love for freedom on the open road, reflecting on the joy he found in life and the sadness of his passing.
"Freedom was something Christian treasured," said Fr Tom Little as he addressed the large gathering of mourners who came to say goodbye to a man who had touched many lives.
"On his bike Christian enjoyed the countryside, the colours of the day, the change of the weather, the arriving at a new destination. A wonderful gift, freedom.
