Two teenagers, Shamiah McKenzie and Codee Godfrey, have been convicted in connection with the fatal stabbing of 23-year-old Abdul Jalloh in east London. McKenzie was found guilty of murder, while Godfrey was convicted of manslaughter. The attack was characterized as cold-blooded, occurring while Jalloh was seated in his car and unable to defend himself. After the attack, the pair attempted to conceal their actions by changing clothes and mingling with police. They ultimately turned themselves in three days later, revealing their disregard for the seriousness of the crime.
Abdul Jalloh did not stand a chance. He could offer no resistance. He was outnumbered, unarmed and vulnerable behind the wheel of his car.
Such was their confidence in their changed appearance that they mingled along the Thames Path with police officers who were searching for Abdul's killers.
