The local authority said that on February 5, the landlord was ordered to pay 37,000 in fines and costs, following his conviction for multiple offences.
During sentencing, the judge described Mr Egbiremolen as a 'classic rogue landlord', emphasizing the severe overcrowding and safety hazards found in the property.
A council spokesperson stated, 'The safety of our residents is paramount... Landlords who fail to license or manage their HMOs risk prosecution...'
The District Judge commented on Mr Egbiremolen's approach to regulations, stating he was 'not a person who responds positively to laws and regulations.'
