A pregnant woman was kidnapped outside her north London home and thrown into a van. The attackers bound her hands and threatened her life and her unborn child for money. Despite being blindfolded and restrained, she escaped the van when left alone. The woman has been deeply affected by the trauma and now fears for her safety. Three men involved in the kidnapping were arrested and sentenced to over 21 years in prison. The woman feels her life has been ruined by this incident, which forever taints her pregnancy experience.
The 36-year-old woman was suddenly grabbed and thrown into the back of a white Ford Transit van as she left her home on the morning of May 10.
Despite being blindfolded and bound, the woman managed to escape from the kidnapping when she was left alone in the vehicle and flagged down a cab.
The incident ruined my life. I will never be the same person again. I am having to start my life all over again, she said.
Audi Johnson, Ahmad Ghiasi, and Nicholas Mitchell were jailed for 21 years and four months altogether for kidnapping the woman as part of a gang.
