Man offered Ukrainians money to carry out Starmer arson attacks, court hears
"This case concerns a series of three fires that were deliberately set in a residential area of North London over three nights in May last year."
"Three fires in the same area within five days would be pretty unusual, but that fires all involving property linked to the same person were beyond a coincidence."
"The evidence demonstrated that there was here no coincidence. Rather, the vehicle and properties in question had been targeted."
Three Ukrainian nationals are charged with conspiring to commit arson on properties associated with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer. Roman Lavrynovych, Petro Pochynok, and Stanislav Carpiuc allegedly targeted a car and two properties linked to the PM between April and May 2025. Lavrynovych faces additional charges for endangering life. Prosecutor Duncan Atkinson KC emphasized the unusual nature of three fires occurring in the same area within five days, asserting that the incidents were not coincidental but targeted actions against properties connected to Sir Keir.
