""no actions will be taken to gain possession of the property until the outcome of Kyle's rehousing assessment""
Kyle Rolfe, 25, has lived in a council home in Hanwell since age three and faces eviction after his mother's death because tenancy succession allows only one succession. His sister inherited the tenancy and when she moved out he informed the council. The council issued a notice giving him until 22 October to vacate the property where his mother's ashes are scattered. He reports severe anxiety, says he never misses rent or bills, and has submitted a rehousing request. The council says no possession action will occur until the rehousing assessment outcome and may seek possession through the courts if rehousing is refused.
