Long-awaited Gallows Corner flyover renewal to FINALLY begin in March
Briefly

Transport for London (TfL) is starting a refurbishment project on the Gallows Corner flyover, originally constructed in the 1970s. The structure is now in poor condition, requiring major strengthening and refurbishment for safe operation. This initiative aims to improve safety, allowing for the removal of existing speed and weight restrictions. Throughout the work, which begins with lane closures in March and includes a full closure from June to September, new pedestrian and cycle crossings will be added, enhancing safety for non-motorized users. TfL has committed to minimizing disruptions during this critical infrastructure upgrade.
The Gallows Corner flyover, originally a temporary structure built in the 1970s, is slated for refurbishment, necessitating months of delays for motorists.
TfL's director Scott Haxton emphasized the refurbishment's necessity for the long-term safety of the road network, aiming to eliminate current speed and weight restrictions.
