A report highlighted that sections of central London experienced speeds below 7mph. Khan noted that these limits led to a significant reduction in serious injuries, emphasizing road safety benefits over slight speed variations.

Research indicated that in November last year, average bus speeds dropped to below 7mph in parts of central London, suggesting challenges remain despite unchanged overall averages.
Khan emphasized the positive impact of the 20mph speed limits, reporting a 24.9% reduction in fatal and serious injuries across London post-implementation.
