Transport for London (TfL) is set to refurbish the driver seats in the Jubilee line cabs, which have been in need of repair since their last overhaul in 2011. Originally scheduled for maintenance in 2020, the pandemic stalled these plans. TfL is currently looking for a contractor to complete the repairs within a timeframe of two to three years, with an estimated budget of £420,000. The refurbishment may include replacing some seats entirely. There is also a possibility that ex-drivers seats could be sold through the London Transport Museum.
Train drivers on the Jubilee line will receive refurbished seats in their cabs, a maintenance effort overdue since 2011, expected to cost £420,000.
Transport for London has initiated a request for a contractor to repair or replace the driver seat covers before the planned overhauls initiated were delayed by the pandemic.
