Gardai investigate discovery of a man's body in East Clare
Gardaí are investigating the death of a man in his 50s after his body was discovered in East Clare. The man was found unresponsive at a location in Mountshannon at approximately 4am on Thursday, May 28. Gardaí and emergency services arrived shortly after and pronounced him dead at the scene. His body was then transferred to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination. After the post-mortem, gardaí will review the findings to determine the next steps in their investigation. It is understood the man had been staying in a campervan near the lakeside village at the time.
