Tyler Roberts-Emmanuel, a 19-year-old, was found guilty of the murder of 30-year-old Shaquille Graham, shot outside Silks nightclub in Catford on March 10, 2024. The prosecution detailed how the attack was premeditated, with Roberts-Emmanuel performing a 'dummy run' on a scooter before lying in wait for Graham. The motive remains unclear, but evidence, including CCTV and mobile phone records, linked Roberts-Emmanuel to the crime. The brutal nature of the shooting left Graham fatally injured. Sentencing is scheduled for April 4, 2024.
"Mr Graham never stood a chance," said prosecutor Joel Smith KC. "He collapsed and died immediately." This highlights the brutal nature of the crime.
"Whilst it is obvious that the killing of Mr Graham was planned, the background remains obscure," said Mr Smith. This statement emphasizes the mysterious motive behind the murder.
"The bullet travelled up through the neck, into Mr Graham's skull where it lodged itself," detailed prosecutor Smith, describing the fatal injury inflicted by the shooter.
"He got off the scooter, walked to Mr Graham, and without pause shot him through the throat," said prosecutor Smith, illustrating the cold-blooded execution of the act.
