Mother saw gunman open fire as son shot - court
Briefly

A tragic court case unfolded surrounding the shooting death of Jesse Lloyd-Smith, 20, in Peckham, London. His mother, Ty Lloyd-Smith, witnessed the gunfire from her nearby flat on July 10, 2024. Prosecutor James Dawes described the incident where two suspects, Kywan JN Pierre and Gabriel Charles, allegedly drove up in a silver Ford S-Max, with one emerging to shoot at Jesse multiple times. Following the shooting, Mrs. Lloyd-Smith rushed to the scene, finding her son gravely injured. Both men deny involvement and fled the country after the incident. Essential evidence included cartridge recoveries at the scene.
"The S-Max passed the Damilola Taylor centre, turned the corner and stopped. One of the two men exited the S-Max. He was holding a gun, and he ran towards Jesse firing the gun as he went. There were at least five shots."
"Mrs. Lloyd-Smith saw the shooter but could not see her son because he was in the alleyway. She feared the worst and she shouted out Jesse's name."
