Kylie Minogue has been honored with a star on the forecourt of Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, commemorating her remarkable 35-year career and significant impact on the music industry. Having performed 33 concerts there since her debut in 1990, she has sold 386,000 tickets at the venue. The unveiling ceremony coincided with her Tension Tour performances, which are among her largest since 2011. The star is located near a statue of Michael Gudinski, the record executive who promoted her concerts, marking the deep ties Minogue has with her hometown.
It seems appropriate that MG will be watching over my star each day. This is such an honour to have this in my home town.
It's only fitting we celebrate her amazing legacy with this star, cementing her name in the history of this great destination for live events.
