Extra buses will be added to route 166 in south London from July 5 until August 25. This increase accommodates passenger visits to Mayfield Lavender Farm, which has bloomed. Passengers are advised to board at Oaks Park stops. Starting July 12, permanent changes to various bus routes will occur. Route 23 will operate every 12 minutes during the day and evening. Route 39 will have buses every 7-8 minutes during peak times and every 15 minutes in the evening. Route 285 will run every 12 minutes during the day, and route 493 every 12 minutes from Monday to Saturday.
Starting Saturday, July 5, additional buses will run on route 166 to accommodate increased passenger traffic to Mayfield Lavender Farm, continuing until August 25.
Route 166 links Purley Tesco to Banstead Town Centre and will pass close to the lavender farm, with pick-up advised at the Oaks Park stops.
Permanent timetable changes will be implemented on several routes beginning July 12, enhancing frequency for important services throughout the week.
