Cambridge will host its first-ever Porchfest music festival on July 19 in Cambridgeport and on July 20 in Central Square, running from noon to 6 p.m. Funded by a grant from the Cambridge Arts Council, this festival joins other Porchfest neighborhoods across the region. It aims to foster community by showcasing local musicians performing from porches and public spaces. The event welcomes attendees for a summer celebration of music while service disruptions on the Red Line are planned to accommodate visitors.
We hope it begins an annual tradition that eventually spans Cambridge.
This will be a summer weekend worth sticking around for.
