The incident occurred just a day into his holiday, leading to his rush to intensive care. Young described losing control as he fell, resulting in severe fractures to his left femur. With his leg presenting at an alarming angle, it became apparent that the injuries were serious. Hospital care was limited at first, as he was only provided paracetamol for pain relief while his wife alerted staff for assistance.
When I came to a stop, I looked down and my leg was in a slightly weird position, underneath my bottom. I thought I don't like that.
The only medication they had was paracetamol. I was screaming out all the time and... it was really worrying.
