The Waldorf Astoria will open in Admiralty Arch on The Mall in London in summer 2026. The Grade I-listed building was commissioned by King Edward VII in memory of Queen Victoria and features a façade by Sir Aston Webb with sweeping views to Buckingham Palace. The hotel will offer about 100 rooms and restaurants by Clare Smyth and Daniel Boulud. The two chefs hold seven Michelin stars between them; Clare runs three-star Core in Notting Hill and Daniel built a major career in New York after moving from France. Admiralty Arch was converted from government offices after extensive renovation, and both chefs accepted the invitation promptly, expressing excitement and pride.
