Waitrose is opening a major new supermarket in north London - one of its first new full line stores in eight years

Waitrose is opening a new 18,000 square foot shop in Cricklewood, transforming the former Galtymore Ballroom. The store will be one of the few full line Waitrose openings in nearly a decade, with fresh meat, fish, and cheese counters offering specific cuts and weights. It will include a dedicated bakery section and a wide wine selection. The shop is expected to stock full ranges of Waitrose No.1 and Essential Waitrose lines, with possible additions such as a sushi bar, dine-in counter, or wine bar. A dedicated basement car park will be available, and the store will be a five minute walk from Cricklewood train station. The opening is scheduled for autumn 2026 at 194-196 Cricklewood Broadway, NW2 3BN.
