Rosetta Buan, owner of Rosetta's Kitchen, stated, "I've never been more afraid of losing my company as a business owner. The restaurant is on very unstable financial ground right now."
The restaurant, known for its vegan offerings for 22 years, has begun serving donated meat and dairy products to survive the post-hurricane downturn, Buan confirmed.
Despite challenges, customer support remains strong, with one patron highlighting the restaurant's commitment to its 'everybody eats' policy, stating, "Thank you for always being a place for terrific vegan food in Asheville."
Rosetta's Kitchen has faced severe revenue drops since September, potentially losing between $160,000 to $190,000, while monthly rents of $6,400 continue to loom.
