'This is our reality' - Dublin cafe owner wrestles with intruder during attempted break-in
Briefly

Gregory Wincenty-Cichy, co-owner of Flower & Bean, shared CCTV footage of an attempted break-in to illustrate the rising threats faced by small businesses in Dublin's hospitality sector. He highlighted the struggles stemming from crime, alongside traditional business challenges, emphasizing the commonality of such incidents across local coffee shops and restaurants. Wincenty-Cichy pointed out that many such cases go unreported, raising concerns about employee safety. The cafe's experience resonates with others in the area, reflecting a troubling trend of increased burglary and theft in the industry.
