Despite a downturn in visitor numbers in Cornwall due to factors like bad weather and competition from all-inclusive resorts, the county's food scene continues to thrive. Several beloved restaurants have survived, and new openings such as North Street Kitchen by chef Ethan Friskney-Bryer and pasta specialist Little Ears have emerged. With accolades like Michelin recognition, Cornwall's culinary offerings promise great dining experiences, making it a viable destination even in challenging times for tourism.
Whatever the reason, it could scarcely be attributed to the county's food scene, which remains resolutely undimmed despite a rough year.
There have been openings: among them, chef Ethan Friskney-Bryer's sublime North Street Kitchen in Fowey, which was quickly recognised by Michelin and awarded a Bib.
