Quince Bakery opened in early 2024 in Islington and won a Muddy Stilettos award for best local food/drink producer. It was also named among London’s best bakeries by La Liste. The bakery supplies bread to Oula, which was officially named the best coffee shop in London. Clementine will open in September across the street from the original site, serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch with items including tattie scones, pies, porridge, soup, toasties, and jam-and-cream scones. A £50,000 crowdfunder funds fit-out and equipment, with rewards ranging from a £15 scone to £10,000 wedding catering, and the campaign had raised over £7,000 at the time of writing.
"Ahead of its opening in September, Higham has launched a £50,000 crowdfunder to help fit out the new space and cover the cost of equipment. To reward people for donations, the bakery is offering a range of prizes, including a scone with Ivy House cream and Quince jam at the caf if you donate 15 and a breakfast bundle of tattie scones, Cacklebean eggs and Red Bank coffee for 30, bread for a year priced at 250, and, for one lucky couple, the Quince and Clementine team catering your wedding if you donate 10,000 to the crowdfund."
