Sandra Lee, a renowned chef, defended Meghan Markle’s cooking and lifestyle show 'With Love, Meghan' during an interview at the New York Women in Film and Television's MUSE Awards. She expressed surprise at the show's negative reception, calling it unfair and lauding its production quality. Lee noted that the series features calming content and even shared a personal technique Markle used on the show. Despite mixed reviews from critics, who found it lacking, Lee encouraged Markle to continue her inspiring work as she develops her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
"I was actually surprised about the backlash to the show. It didn't seem fair," Lee told the outlet at the New York Women in Film and Television 2025 MUSE Awards.
"[It has] calming, serene content - and she even used my trick of using a plastic bag as a piping bag for her cake!" the "Sandra's Restaurant Remakes" host added.
Lee raved that Markle's series "is very well done" and is "beautifully filmed."
