Following the incident, the suspect pursued her off the train at Whitechapel station and onto another train, leaving her unsettled. The British Transport Police are actively seeking the public's assistance by releasing images of the suspect, encouraging anyone who might recognize him to contact authorities for further investigation, highlighting the importance of community involvement in such serious cases.
The attack occurred shortly after 7pm on 5 February as a man boarded the train at Custom House and sat next to a woman before assaulting her.
After the assault, the suspect followed the victim off the train at Whitechapel, trailing her through the station and onto another train.
Police have launched a manhunt and released images of the suspect, urging anyone with information to help in the investigation.
