London's Largest Rooftop Bar Is Opening in Brixton
Briefly

"Freight Brixton is an incredible rooftop in the heart of south London and will be a place for locals and the city beyond to come together and enjoy themselves with the best food, drink and music. I cannot wait for us to get this open - we have seen what creating these kinds of spaces can do for a community in Manchester, and we are all very excited to build something just as special in Brixton."
"With a capacity of over 1000, Freight Brixton, opening adjacent to Brixton Village Market, will be the biggest open-air venue in London. A food, drink and culture hub, the rooftop spot will boast four kitchens, an Italian-inspired aperitivo bar and a tequila-led bar from Casamigos."
"Music will also be massive up on the roof. Soul of the South, in collab with Cross The Tracks, will showcase the best jazz, funk and soul every Thursday. Across May, June and July, the likes of David Rodigan, Laurence Guy, Ghosts Of Garage and Dimitri From Paris will all be on the decks."
Freight Brixton will open on May 7, 2026, adjacent to Brixton Village Market as London's biggest open-air venue with capacity exceeding 1000 people. The rooftop destination combines food, drink, and culture with four kitchens, an Italian-inspired aperitivo bar, and a tequila-led bar from Casamigos. Food programming includes live-fire cooking, Reggae Brunch, Maggi Brunch, Taco Fest, and Bite Twice presents Dine Hard. Music features Soul of the South jazz and funk nights every Thursday, plus performances from David Rodigan, Laurence Guy, Ghosts Of Garage, and Dimitri From Paris across May through July. The venue will host a World Cup Fanzone for summer sports viewing, creating a community gathering space modeled on Freight Island's successful Manchester location.
