Yiannis Mexis, after a successful tenure in renowned restaurants, is launching Pyro, a new dining space in Borough. The restaurant will emphasize Greek taverna vibes with an open kitchen, large bar, and outdoor terrace. Diners can look forward to a contemporary menu featuring small plates that utilize hyper-seasonal produce and authentic Greek ingredients, prepared over open fire. Signature dishes include spanakopita, pork souvlaki, and whole charred aubergine. The wine selection highlights independent Greek producers, while unique cocktails will incorporate seasonal ingredients. The opening is set for May 1, 2025.
Expect dishes like spanakopita with fragrant herbs and barrel-aged feta, mussel saganaki with toasted bread and vine leaf, and pork pluma souvlaki with prunes.
