Family-friendly festival planned for Richmond Park
Briefly

Richmond Council is considering plans for Raver Tots, a family-friendly music festival in Old Deer Park, aiming for an annual occurrence starting in August. If approved, the festival would feature live performances, DJs, food stalls, and funfair rides, catering specifically to families. Organizer Park Live Events argues the event offers unique entertainment for families at a manageable scale. Despite some support, local residents' associations caution against a permanent license due to potential future issues. The festival is already held in other UK cities, aiming to create a community atmosphere in Richmond.
Mr. Chaplin emphasized that 'This tried-and-tested event will be and is well managed, and is a safe and successful cultural and entertainment facility for the residents and families of Richmond and surrounding areas.'
The Old Deer Park Working Group expressed concerns stating it would be 'inappropriate' to grant a permanent license for the events, despite supporting them in principle.
