The Strawberry Fair at King George's Playing Fields brought families together for a day filled with joy, activities, and entertainment. Featured performances included the Brentwood Imperial Youth Band and Razzamataz Theatre School. The event commemorated the 80th anniversary of VE Day, emphasizing community spirit. Attendees engaged in various activities, such as boxing sessions, rides, and a Punch and Judy show, while local food and charity stalls added to the festive atmosphere. Brentwood's mayor highlighted the importance of collaboration among sponsors and volunteers in making the fair successful.
Mayor of Brentwood, Councillor Jay Laplain, said: "What a truly wonderful day we've had at this year's Strawberry Fair. It was heartwarming to see everyone come together in such great numbers to celebrate not only a cherished Brentwood tradition, but also the 80th anniversary of VE Day."
The fair was supported by Razzamataz Theatre School Brentwood, Mullis and Peake LLP, Stagecoach Theatre School Brentwood, The National Lottery Community Fund, and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
