A Swanky Chicago Private Club Is Selling Passes to a Michelin-Caliber Tasting Menu
Briefly

Starting in August, the exclusive Astor Club in Gold Coast will launch a new tier called the Chef's Table, featuring Michelin-star chef Trevor Teich's tasting menu. This format allows members to enjoy a curated experience with 10 courses in a private setting, catering to the growing interest in Teich's culinary offerings, following his successful stint at Claudia. The menu features luxury comfort food and inventive fine dining options, elevating the club's culinary profile and creating a unique dining opportunity for members and potential joiners.
Teich built up a strong following as a pop-up before opening in Bucktown. This has come about not only because of me wanting to do it but because some of the members that have really pushed to ask for this.
The seasonal menu will include items like a hearty rabbit pot-au-feu with glazed root vegetables and Snails in the Woods - consisting of tempura-fried escargot, truffle soil, pine meringue, and herb puree.
