A 26-year-old woman named Mahlet Goshu Debas was found dead in her friend's bedroom after ingesting a mixture of drugs, including diazepam, zopiclone, and cocaine.
The coroner, Nadia Persaud, noted that Miss Debas had lived in semi-supported accommodation for mental health issues and that she died from acute cardiorespiratory failure.
Emergency services pronounced Miss Debas dead at 10:25 am, ruling her death non-suspicious and referring further investigations to the coroner's court.
The inquest will further explore Miss Debas's mental health history and the circumstances leading up to her tragic death.
