"Police were called at 14:52hrs on Thursday, 15 February to reports of a collision on the A406 in Barking. Officers and London Ambulance Service [LAS] attended. At the scene a female pedestrian, aged 40, had been in collision with a car. The injured woman was taken by London Ambulance Service to an east London hospital where her condition is critical."
"Police are now working to identify and contact the woman's next of kin."
