They warn of possible flooding, travel disruption and power cuts, with as much as 40mm of rain set to fall on already saturated ground after downpours earlier in the week.
Mr Snell had, earlier in the week, been predicting that spring is on the way. He said: While not record-breaking, (Thursday's) temperatures are definitely on the higher end of the scale, with it feeling a lot more like spring than winter.
